Dr. Grace has a guinea pig and volunteers with an organization that helps place cats in caring homes. "Having something to take care of, even just this simple guinea pig, was incredibly hard at first. I hate cleaning the cage, and it's a pain to get someone to wach it when I'm out of town. But then I noticed that I was smiling sometimes when it was making silly noises or freaking out because I gave it some lettuce. It's nice, taking care of something. And those poor cats who've been in cages all day, they're just so grateful to have someone pay attention to them. I guess I know how that feels."
